Hi,
I've been working for the past couple of years on an interactive public
engagement site called TalkEssex. Designed and developed in-house, we have
used a lot of the ideas developed by the national e democracy project. It
should be live at the end of August but with a phased launch over the next
year to the public as more content is up-loaded.

Welcome everyone to the updated online community for online consultation and
e-participation practitioners.  We'll simply call it "Consult" for short. We
are launching with 126 members!

While folks should continue to login - http://groups.dowire.org - and update
their "who's who" member profile (top right). Let's do a round of
introduction via the online group.

For those using e-mail, simply reply to this message keeping the subject
line intact.  That will make our greetings it look pretty on the web.  For
